Turkey

I have to admit that in preparation for this trip I hadn't given as much thought to Turkey as I had the other places we would be going.  Turkey was the place we were starting from, it was never a destination.  Since leaving Istanbul I have been reevaluating that position.  This place and the people that live here are extraordinary.  As are the roads.

We spent a night in Bursa arriving early enough to quickly walk through the Silk and Grand Bazaar.

The next two nights were in Cappadocia, an absolutely magical place.

Cappadocia is famous for hot ballooning and after an aborted attempt the first morning we had a successful flight our last morning in town.

Tonight is our last night in Turkey, crossing the border to Georgia tomorrow.
