In the morning we poked around the lovely St.Anthony.
Then headed north towards L'Anse Aux Meadows.
The flames are placed where archeologists ave identified aboriginal fire pits.
This statue represents the first meeting of Europeans and North American aboriginals.
And it is at this place where more than 1000 years ago the human race finished encircling the face of the earth that we turn around and head home. We didn't ride across Labrador, we didn't get up to Twillingate or Fogo Island, we didn't get deep into Gros Morne, we didn't get all the way out to St. John's. All reasons for another trip in a couple of years, hopefully before they finish paving the Trans Labrador Highway.
